Feet Painting!

Here are some pictures from the highlight of our Immersion Day, Feet Painting!

The Chipmunks were finding out about Earth Hour and Carbon Footprints so we decided to make a painting of our world using our feet!

I must admit, it did get rather smelly!

Literacy Research!

As part of the Chipmunks Literacy work, we will be looking at story writing for the first few weeks back at school! For this we will be using the text ‘The Wandering Wombles’ by Elisabeth Beresford.

If children get the opportunity to have a look on the internet at the Wombles  and any of the stories written my Elisabeth Beresford, that would be fantastic!

Mr Capes and his Sewing Skills!

The Chipmunks have started to design their very own recycled item of clothing. After working out how to ‘jazz’ up the item, the Chipmunks are now ready to start their work!

Mr Capes even attempted to reignite his own sewing skills which quickly turned into a disaster!

Extra lesson are required!!

D & T Connector

As part of out D &T focus during Connector lessons, children will be using an old item of clothing to create a new fashion item!

We would be very grateful if children could have a look at home for something they can use for this project.

Please can children bring in their item for Wednesday 21st March when we will be starting the designing.

If you have any spare buttons, ribbons, zips or anything that could be attached, these would be gratefully received.

Thank you

Greenpeace Letters

In Literacy, the Chipmunks have been learning how to write letters!

As a practice before our Big Write on Monday, the Chipmunks have written a letter to Greenpeace asking questions about a topic they would like to find out about.

Mr Capes has already been in contact with Greenpeace and we will be looking forward to their responses!
